Eco-Electric Toothbrush

Bamboo is a rapidly growing and abundant resource that does not require the use of harmful pesticides or fertilisers. It is able to be cut without harming the plant, which means forests can be harvested repeatedly without causing ecological damage. This makes it an affordable and eco-friendly option for promoting oral hygiene.

The bamboo component can be composted however the bristles and insert should first be removed and recycled. This can be done yourself using pliers or through a local recycling program. You can also consider repurposing your bamboo toothbrush for household cleaning. When the electric handle reaches end of life, it can be taken to your local e-waste recycling centre where the components can be safely separated and repurposed.

Bamboo toothbrushes and dental tools should be replaced every 2-3 months just like standard toothbrushes. It is recommended to air dry your brush after each use to prevent the growth of bacteria or mould. Our brush heads are polished with food grade soybean oil to aid in keeping them clean without the use of harsh chemicals.

To meet industry safety standards, our electric toothbrush base is made from recyclable ABS which protects the electric motor and ensures high grade waterproofing. This also guarantees durability and sustainability of the toothbrush, meaning you are reducing waste by only replacing the heads.

Toothbrush bristles are commonly made from nylon due to its durability, water resistance and antibacterial properties. This allows you to get the most out of your brush, minimising the environmental impacts of surplus production and shipping. It is also gentle on the gums and tooth enamel. Our electric toothbrush bristles are crafted with bio-based nylon, which is derived from castor oil and infused with activated charcoal. We also have boar hair bristles coming soon.
